When I was seventeen years old my parents took me to Disney World. I thought I might be a little old and wouldn't enjoy it as much as if they had taken me when I was younger. WRONG. I ate turkey legs, caesar salad (with so much dressing it was more like caesar soup), went on all the best roller coasters AND got HIT ON by Aladdin! Well...I thought I got hit on by Aladdin. With a twinkle in his eye he asked me if he had ever met me before. I watched the movie again shortly after and realized everything real life Aladdin said to me, cartoon Aladdin also said to Jasmine (whomp whomp).
One memory I will always have from our week away in Disney was this: my family and I stood outside of Magic Kingdom waiting to see Tinker Bell fly out of the castle. As the show went on, Jiminy Cricket's voice filled the park and SUDDENLY, Tinker Bell herself, flew out of the castle window. At that moment Jiminy said, "You can do anything if you just believe!" Tears. Something about that moment struck me to my very chord and I silently said to myself, "You are so right Jiminy! You CAN do anything if you just believe!"
To this day, I still truly believe that if you want something bad enough and you put in the hard work that it takes to get there, your dreams will come true.
