Anybody who knows me knows how much I LOVE to travel! Whether its the streets of New York, the beaches of Cuba, or the mountains of Guatemala, I feel right at home. Speaking of home, Fredericton! Fredericton is a city full of arts and culture, the best samosas I have ever tasted, and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. So how did I get connected with Fred Tourism?
Last summer as I was gearing up for my website launch party I was approached by a journalist. One thing led to another and Fredericton Tourism saw the photo-shoot featured in the local paper. They approached me and asked if I would style a shoot for them that would be featured on the cover of their spring tourism guide with my silks. They wanted something different and "artsy" to celebrate the new renovations at the art gallery as well as Canada's 150th birthday!
Above is one of the shots taken right out side of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery along the walking trail (a Fredericton staple).
I got to work with the best #fashionsquad and creative team for this project which included Daniel Richard, Kyra Dawn, Sara Calhoun, Rian Smith and Kelsey Schroeder (tags to their personal pages under the pic above). Without all of them this shoot would not have been possible.
This experience got me to thinking about how one thing can lead to something COMPLETELY different than what I had planned! I would love to hear your stories about an experience that ended up being different than what you had planned, or a project that you worked on that turned into a cool (but totally different) opportunity.
