We live in a generation where "multi tasking" is our middle names.  We text while we walk, check Facebook while we work, watch TV while we snap.  However with everything going on we sometimes forget to do the things that are the most important towards reaching our goals. Here are five easy steps to help you keep on track and get more out of your busy schedules.

1.) KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE: If keeping on track with the latest episode of GOT or KUWTK is that important to you, work on a project while you watch it.  Or cook dinner while your in the middle of your next Netflix binge. Make sure if you are watching TV (and I am not talking about during your down time) that you are also being productive towards reaching your goals.

2.) WRITE THINGS DOWN:  We are all busy, and sometimes we forget things.  Make remembering easier by writing things down.  Invest in a nice agenda from Chapters.  Or if you are on a budget, the next time you need to remember something draw a small dot on you knuckle.  Every time you see the dot on your hand for a brief second you will think, "why is that there!?" and then you will remember why you drew it on yourself in the first place.

3.) GET ENOUGH SLEEP: If you aren't getting enough sleep you are bound to start making carless mistakes.  Instead of taking the time to do something over again, make sure you get enough sleep so that you can do it right the first time.

4.) FOLLOW A STRICT SCHEDULE:  If you say your going to do something, do it.  If you give yourself a task, complete it.  (It sounds so easy, but it can actually be pretty difficult until you get into a good habit of doing this.)

5.) SET REALISTIC GOALS:  Don't bite off more than you can chew.  Under promise, and over deliver.  A good rule of thumb is; any project is going to take twice the time AND money you think it will.

What are ways that have helped you be more productive?  Have you tried any of the above?  I would love to hear more!  Comment in the comments section, or shoot me a message.
